Today on Temple Square

Today on Temple Square

It is hard for me to hate winter and snow when I look at scenes like this!! (For those who might want to duplicate this composition, it was taken through the window in the Presidents Room, Mezzanine level, Joseph Smith Memorial Building.)

This statue of a man in flowing robes with a long horn pressed to his lips, sits atop most of over 170 temples throughout the world. This is Angel Moroni who was an ancient prophet and a central figure in the Book of Mormon which is ancient scripture and a companion to the Bible. The statue is symbolic of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

That is one of the most beautiful pictures of the SL Temple I've ever seen. I love the harmonic colors and textures.

Oh My God, that really is truly awesome. I might not be able to see such a scene in this lifetime, and definitely will not be able to shoot a picture with such incredible beauty and precision!
