MISTY WATERCOLOR MEMORIES
Whereas London Bridge in Lake Havasu should not be on anyone's 'bucket list,' (IMHO), Golden Gate Bridge should be on everyone's list. Actually, if possible, photographing this beautiful place should happen more than once in a lifetime. Truly a photographer's dream location! It is a magical place, ever changing... moody with mist one minute, romantic with a golden sunset the next, then something surprisingly different a minute later. Here the fog was gently rolling over the land looking like cotton candy as it reached up to the sky. I'm trying to pretend I'm back there as I avoid looking at the gray, snowy views out my window today. I'll post some more of my misty memories of this bridge during the next few days.

We'll probably be back there at some point this year to visit our son. This time, I'll have camera in hand!!
Best,
Bonnie
I couldn't agree more, Karen. San Francisco should be on everyone's bucket list! It is beautiful, mysterious, exciting, changing all the time. It's on my bucket list to go AGAIN. Your capture of it is wonderful.
absolutely stunning!
thanks Karen, it is beautiful and through pictures is the only way i will see it.
Amazing shot. You captured it perfectly!! One of my favorite cities.. Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!
Hugs, Linda
I agree, second only to Delicate Arch maybe. One of my favorite photos of all time was one I snapped of "The Bridge" and a flag flying on the end of our tour boat when my wife and I were on our honeymoon in San Francisco, over 37 years ago. I posted a poor copy of it here but I sure wish I could find the original slide again to get a better copy.
Anyway, This is beautiful and I really can't wait to see some more.
Also, I loved your comment on my Coyote post. Very funny and creative.
Well I have seen countless images of the GG bridge before but none taken from this perspective before. Quite the artistic touch you have here with the upsweep of the misty foreground matching the gentle rise of the cables. Here I live 40 minutes from the bridge and never saw this before. Well done Karen!
How wonderful!!! Fog creeps in on little cat's paws!!
This is simply breathtaking. I love everything about this image, from the composition to the elements in the image (fog, water, the bridge...)
Wow, truly amazing! Love the mist over the water.
I've been fortunate enough to visit San Francisco a couple of times in the past five years. It's a photographer's paradise! I love your photo of the Golden Gate..was it taken in Sausalito?
Karen, wow, nice shot! Love the different angle of this one!
lovely shot
You certainly have a different angle for that one. The mist makes it look mysterious.
Love the foggy mist!!
Oi!
The bridge to nothing!?
This is beautiful. Just beautiful
What a beautiful dream...
