Favorite Blogs
I love meeting and mingling with other photographers. It's fun to share pictures, ideas, good places for photo ops. And I learn so much in the process that helps me be a better photographer. But best of all, I meet wonderful people who become great friends. Check out these great blogs and meet some talented photographers:

MY GEAR
Here is a list of camera gear I haul around in my bag. (Although not all at the same time!) Yes, as you can see, I'm a loyal Canon girl. My first real camera was an Elan 7 SLR film camera (I think that's what it was called). I've had numerous Canon cameras since then and have had no problems with any of them...(knock on wood). They feel natural in my hands and the controls are intuitive and in the right place for me.
Over the years I've accumulated a nice collection of lenses and I use all of them at times. My latest is a 15mm fisheye f2.8. Just for fun! If you have any questions or want my opinion about my gear, just contact me. I've always got an opinion!
- Canon 5D Mark II
- Canon 24-70 f/2.8L lens
- Canon 70-300 f/4.0L lens
- Canon 16-35 f/2.8L lens
- Canon 50 f/1.8 lens
- Canon 100 f/2.8L Macro lens
- Canon 15 mm f/2.8 Fisheye
- Canon Speedlite 580EX II
- Manfrotto tripod & head
P.S. Plus a variety of light discs, diffusers, pocket wizards, and other gizmos and gadgets!
Tech Talk Tuesdays
Almost every Tuesday I post a tutorial about some aspect of photography. Sometimes it is about a technique, sometimes about creativity and art, and sometimes it's a bit of Karen's photo philosophy. The information I present is understandable (I hope), and usually geared for beginning photographers. I welcome comments and questions, and I'm always happy to clarify something that needs more explanation. I often get ideas for my posts from my blog followers, so if there is something you'd like me to talk about in an upcoming Tech Talk Tuesday, drop me an email. Here is a list of previous Tech Talk Tuesday posts linked to the actual post. Happy reading, and I hope you learn something along the way.
