I took this on the same evening as the previous POST. A unique feature in Zion National Park is that the roads are paved in red to blend in with the rest of the scenery. Makes for a visually striking composition of similar red, orange, coral and rust tones.

And all this time I thought they were paved in red because they got the red dirt from that area. Beautiful image with wonderful, almost vintage look, post processing.
I am a big fan of monotone colors and this is gorgeous... now that sky needs to be yellows and gold, as in sunrise or sunset...
Visually pleasing!
I remember that red road through Zion, and the marvelous views. I hope to get back some day soon, but until then, thanks for the memories.
Hi Karen, this is such a gorgeous shot! I was in Zion last September and like George hope to get back one day. Thank you for sharing one of my favorite areas in the US.
Simply beautiful.
Thats funny I thought I had commented here before. Maybe I only thought about it, who knows? The colours are amazing and much different to when I was there in summer.
Karen, these are breathtakingly beautiful. You truly captured the essence of Zion.
WOW!
Brilliant photos, Karen!
You've got a lovely blog!
Your previous post too is breathtaking!
Congratulations!
Breathtaking sight Karen. I like how the road leads the eye up, and the bare trees on the side. Perfectly captured.
