Last Rays of Sun - Lake Powell

Shortly after we returned from New Zealand, we spent two glorious weeks on our houseboat timeshare at Lake Powell.  All of the children and grandchildren were able to spend some time with us and we had the best time.  After a fun filled day of water skiing, eating, wake boarding, jet skiing, eating, swimming, tubing, eating, visiting, eating, playing games, catching fish, and more eating, the ski boat is resting for the night.  I took this photo from the back of the houseboat just as the last rays of sun raked over the red rock.  And for those of you who have never been to Lake Powell, yes, the rocks are really this red, and become positively neon at sunset.

Those red rocks look amazing! The lines of the rocks, the clouds and the boat all work together so well here too.

A magic moment. The symmetry is great and the lines lead your eye into the photo. The colours are stunning. You sound like you had great fun with your family.

Love it. You always capture such amazing photos. Nessie says you needs to, er HAVE TO get that same spot again this year so that they call all swim to the little rock island and play on the hills there (minus the rattle snake). It was the absolutely perfect area I think. LOVE IT and the memories it brings back. Can't wait till next year.
