Thanks everyone, I sure appreciate your comments! Ginny and SouthernSass, no Photoshop or trickery here. Well, I guess it is a trick of the camera, lens and settings! This was about a 3 second shutter speed, f/22 with a really wide angle, 15mm. I shot this on manual, and of course with the slow shutter speed I used a tripod. And magically, ordinary Christmas lights turn into star bursts!

Usually the simpler pictures have the bigger impact. This is a picture I really like.Looks like a window on the Assembly Hall.
Beautiful - I've been hoping to find time to play with the lights - for some strange reason I think it'll have to wait until next year!
