Shoshone Falls, Idaho

Shoshone Falls, Idaho

What a surprise! I have traveled within a few miles of this beautiful place many times and never knew it was here! This is Shoshone Falls in Idaho and I took this photo just before sunset a few days ago. Hard to imagine that at times these falls completely dry up....according to the park ranger.

hi Karen -- I saw your post listed on Felicia's sidebar and came to tell you that my latest blog post (until tomorrow, Sunday, anyway, when I'll post a new one for the week) is about the same thing. We had the same reaction -- didn't know it was there even tough we'd driven through Twin Falls several times. What a fun coincidence -- I'm glad I saw your post!!!

They are spectacular. Looks like a miniature Niagra or Iguasu.
