Death Valley National Park

Sometimes we need to survive and grow where we are planted, even against all odds!!

Although this has been an epic spring in Death Valley, the flower show takes place in limited parts of the park. If one turns in the opposite direction, close to where my previous photos were taken, this is what you would see.

This looks so barren and more like what I would expect in a place called Death Valley.

This is a barren but wonderful shot. Beautiful.

Water and a little plant growing, looks like a miracle, but the roots must have known this was a good place to plant their feet.

Is this Badwater? It's amazing how diverse Death Valley is. Unforunately I've never been there in the spring, it's on my list though. This year must be quite spectacular after the rain.

That spot of green really stands out in the stark environment.

Karen, what a wonderful scene! It's barren and all, but it's still fabulous! I saw a news article the other day that was showing the flowers like your previous post! A world event!

Carola, yes this was take in the Badwater area. Certainly an appropriate name for that place!
