Spring in Christchurch, New Zealand
Still trying to keep up with a challenge from a Facebook friend to post a 'tree' photo a day for a week. (I skipped posting yesterday's photo on this blog because I think I have posted it here before.)
Anyway, we strolled through this beautiful canopy of blossoms in Christchurch, New Zealand. This photo was taken on a lovely spring day. It is especially poignant to me when I remember that this lovely park was surrounded by the devastation and tremendous destruction of most downtown buildings in Christchurch by a recent series of tremendous earthquakes.

Hagley Park, a haven for many in those terrible days, weeks, and months after the second earthquake. Beautiful spring blossoms.

IF ONLY IT WERE HERE TODAY! Gorgeous.
It looks like a storybook lane. Breathtaking!
Karen, what a beautiful row of trees! We have streets like this in Vancouver that fill up with Cherry blossoms in Spring too! It's quite fantastic!
Just Beautiful! I doubt that it will be there when we go next week.
This is a stunning sight.Any bees and other insects that live in the area must have had a wonderful time with all those blossoms.
Jaw dropping gorgeous image.
So lovely to see pink blossom in February! It's snowing heavily here and looks beautiful in a different sort of way!
That is great, next time i will go to Christchurch from Auckland.
