Wow, wow, wow, and I've overslept this great event! Shame on me... ;) A perfect photograph from the blood AND super moon, Karen (it’s a new or full moon closely coinciding with perigee – the moon’s closest point to Earth in its monthly orbit.) Uwe.
Karen, beautiful! Great! Wonderful! You certainly did better than me. I got a couple of shots just as the eclipse was almost over, but my red shots were a bust! Darn! Just going to wait till 2018!
Karen, how much post processing did you do here? I would love to share this with my photo club (with your permission please). Absolutely one of the best that I have seen. Florida was a complete bust!! We just got lots of clouds.
Suzanne, all my photos are edited in Lightroom and sometimes Photoshop and other programs. This is is a combination of two shots taken in the same location, one after the next. One I exposed and focused on the moon, one on the temple. P.S. There was a busy freeway between me and the temple so I had to time my shots when cars weren't blocking my view. You have my permission to share with your photo club, as long as you give me credit, oh, and thanks for your nice comments!
Thanks Karen, I tell folks about your Blog all the time. But, this time I wanted to copy and share your photo directly to our website for our 108 members to enjoy. Thanks for explaining how you took the photo. I will share that as well. Full credit - no worries. Really love your work and your willingness to teach.

Truly magnificent, Karen!
So that's what I missed seeing.
Very impressive! I love how the moon and the temple have similar coloring.

I think I might have gasped out loud. And now I am calling my husband to come see this magnificent photo.
OMG, how can i leave my eyes from this. As you often said post only one photo at a time, and this just one photo encompasses thousands of them.
Stunning shot.
