Spring is Right Around the Corner!

First Blossoms
(taken February 14, 2015)

Unlike many parts of the country, we have had lovely warm weather in southern Utah, even though several weeks ago there was ice on the ground.  However, it still looks like winter, with bare trees and yellow/brown lawns.  I can't tell you how excited I was to see this lone tree already full of spring blossoms.  It must have decided it was already tired of winter, like I am!

A good sign that winter will be over soon. I notice that on my morning walks the air is getting cooler. I hope the north of your country soon thaws out.

This beautiful photo is like a breath of fresh air. We went through an ice storm yesterday, and it won't get above freezing until the end of the week.

Karen, I love your blossoms, but I hope they aren't blooming way too early. That happened in Denver several years ago and all the trees and plants were badly stunted by a hard freeze.

Stunning Spring... a friend in AR had blooms on her flowers, today they are encased in ice. those roses below are wonderful... I missed these two because i took a couple of days off. No to the feeling 45 but now i feel my age, 70 and not 86

Karen, lovely shot! We are getting our first signs of an early spring, here on the west coast too! We have crocuses and stuff showing some colour. The Cherry trees in Vancouver are blooming! A full 3 weeks earlier than last year!
