I do love snow at Christmas time.....pine trees laden with sparkling snow, snowflakes drifting softly into a winter wonderland scene, children with red noses building snowmen, etc. But after Christmas all I can think of is.....slipping on icy sidewalks, chapped hands and faces from bitter cold winds, shoveling snow off the driveway, and dreary gray landscapes.
Here is how they spend winter in Moorea, a small island near Tahiti. Moorea is one of the most beautiful tropical paradises I have ever seen. I see two vacant beach chairs and one has my name on it......anyone want to join me?????

Oh my - that looks pretty inviting - it's 42 degrees below zero where we are at our daughter's.
It's the perfect spot to get away from the winter that is going on here. Enjoy.
It is tempting!
Yes I would love to join you even though it is very warm here at the moment.
It's really nice to see such a warm image in cold days like these.
Oh yeh, when do we leave??? Beautiful, Karen.
Happy New Year Karen, had a glimpse of your beautiful Christmas at your home. Love the woodwork in your home. I love the winter here there is no grey as it stay white all winter. We don't get any wind yet so they trees a laden with snow. But we will be heading south to the desert in a couple of days. Hope you get to enjoy a winter holiday somewhere like your photo.
That looks even warmer than Florida (where it's been rather cool so far in January). I hope you're there (in Moorea) and you're only having bad dreams about shoveling snow, sliding on ice, etc.
Gorgeous scene !
