WE HAVE RETURNED FROM OUR GREAT ADVENTURE!

Jeff and I have recently returned from an 18 month missionary assignment for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had the opportunity to live and travel in New Zealand and some of the other beautiful islands of the Pacific. We were immersed in it all...the beautiful scenery, the many different cultures, unique foods and customs, and we came home having experiences to remember forever and friendships that will last a lifetime. Even though we spent most of our time on missionary assignments, I found plenty of time for photography, and even though I shared many photos while we were gone, I still have many more to post of some of the most beautiful places on the other side of the world....not only New Zealand, but New Caledonia, Fiji, Tahiti, Moorea, Australia, Samoa. So, I'll continue to give you a glimpse of the places we saw and the people we met, interspersed with whatever I happen to be photographing currently.

Auckland Harbor at Sunset

Auckland - City of Sails

I've mentioned before that Auckland Harbor is often filled with sailboats.  When we cross the Harbor Bridge I always see this scene with the sailboats in dock and the Sky Tower in the background.  Today was a beautiful day, and I took this photo just before the sun set.  I love how the sun is highlighting the city buildings and the Sky Tower.

Wow, breathtaking shot Karen! Everything about it is perfect, I especially love the depth of field!

How much longer do you have of this amazing adventure?

The sunlit buildings with a dark sky always look great. A pattern of masts.

Very nice. At first the tower looks like another one of the masts. Great find and capture.
