Punakaiki - Pancake Rocks

Another stop along the west coast of the south island is Pancake Rocks, an area of beautiful and unusually layered rock formations.

Wow, this is amazing! Your shots are always so beautiful and the scenery there is astounding. I hope to be leaving to Pukatja on the 25th, it's a go, we just need to confirm a date now. Have a wonderful weekend Karen!

Those are very cool, I see the possibilities of lots of cool shots in there. Can you walk down among them during low tide?

And I thought most of the unusual land formations could be found here in Utah!

This is one of my most favourite places. It rained really heavily when we were there. we sheltered in a cafe across the road and we had the best pancakes that I've ever tasted. Then the sun came out and we crawled over the amazing rocks.
