A Special Dinner!

We've been down to Christchurch on assignment, and our special friends invited us for Sunday dinner.   We were told that crawfish is a special delicacy.  This was caught by a friend, but if purchased it would cost around $200.  I thought it might taste like lobster, but it didn't!

Karen, my that's a biggun! Not like the crawdads at home!
It looks yummy! A bit of a shock on the price though!

Love the color and texture. When we lived in Texas one of our favorite dishes was called crawfish etouffe. Very tasty indeed. They were no where near this big though.

That is one amazing crawfish -- nothing like the New Orleans babies.

Hi Karen,

I thought that was a lobster. Didn't know crawfish came in that size! How was your trip to New Zealand? Or did you go to Switzerland?

Blessings,
Judy
