Phriday Phun - Golden Gate Bridge

I Left My Heart.......

Wouldn't it be PHUN to be in San Francisco with that special someone right now???  I guess the next best thing is either to plan a romantic getaway, (a Valentine's Day surprise maybe?),  or relive memories of a past romantic interlude.  (Be sure to see Scott's comment on my last post about a special photo of a very special trip to San Francisco.)  If none of that is possible, then I hope you will enjoy San Francisco through the lens of my camera.

Well, this does bring back memories! The year I moved to San Fransisco this song was on the charts - that's how long ago it was!! I remember listing to it over and over again on my parents floor model stereo... Move ahead 14 years and my husband and I passed through this great city on our trip around American Honeymoon!! So... I do remember romance in San Francisco too!!I think I even have a picture of us from this very spot...
Such a great post, Karen!!!
Thanks and many blessings!

I will be enjoying vicariously, Karen!! I will! One of my favorite, favorite memories of San Francisco is the Bay-to-Breakers run. Oh, my goodness! What sights and smells and sounds to revel in all the way! And, golf on the little public golf course, Lincoln, I believe... and the food... San Francisco has a piece of my heart.

I like how the bridge is gleaming in the background. Almost spooky with all the fog.

Amazing photos! I think of the times we traveled the Golden Gate Bridge almost 40 years ago when my husband and I were just married and living in Alameda, where he was stationed as a Marine. I like the way you captured the fog.

I (Heart) this one Karen. Perfect for gray scale and silhouette. What an enormous winner. This should be hung on their wall in a canvas print.

Karen, wow, what a great shot! Unfortunately I'll have to enjoy SF thru your lens! That's probably better than what I'd see if I was there!

Oh my! fog can have just as much beauty as sun in it's own way! Which makes me think that is why English people have such good complexions, all the fog and moisture in the air. Now how did I get from San Fransisco to England?? Well, I would love to go both places. The show Monk was set in S.F. and I loved the hills, trolleys, and lights inat show!

Beautiful photo, absolutely beautiful. In a few months, my husband and I will be in San Fransisco (I haven't been there since 1978 and he's never been). I can only hope it looks as romantic for us as it does for those in the photo.

Oddly enough, I am going to San Francisco for the Valentine's weekend. But it's to take a entry set there for a customer. But hey, it's without kids... I'll take it!
