Karen, thank you for taking us there! I love the spanish architecture, the fountains, the birds of paradise, the statues... ahh... wonderful escape for this moment! Thanks again!

All of the photographs are nice. My favorite photograph, though, is the second one. I like the bells hanging in the open space and all the lines (straight, curved, angled) of the building.

I have been to all the missions while living out west many years ago.I also went to a few in AZ and NM.I do very few people shots, shooting mostly nature photos. I like to take lots to get a little. You have some classy shots going through your blog. The bird of paridise are reall unique and make me want to get back to a more warmer climate and play.

Karen, you were too kind in your comments. I can only hope to take such beautiful pictures as yours. Simply breathtaking. I really like the last photo -- blooming flowers is what this poor cold wintery soul needs to get me through the next few months! :)

Karen each of these are so very gorgeous. I would love to get inside a place like this perhaps to just sit for a long time and then take some photos.
Love this series.

I can think of many reasons why your project is a good one - but primarily because these Missions look so photogenic.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for your kind comments on my Journey Through Grace. Truth be known, I put very little thought into my photos and shoot in RAW so that I can use some nice photo editing software to crate photos that I find visually pleasing. Wish it were more than that, but it's not truthfully. A good camera and a great lens.. that's about it for me... lol. It's great that you have this blog to teach others!
