Phriday Phun

GET ME TO THE CHURCH ON TIME!

Here's my photo story for Phun Phriday.  My son and his bride (last year's marriage), wanted to do something fun and edgy after the 'official' wedding photos.  We went out to the great Salt Lake and just had fun.....that is, until we were attacked!  (More on that in the next post).  Anyway, hope these photos put a smile on your face to start the weekend!

You may not want to "publish" this comment until later because I know what you were attacked by. Besides the 150 trillion mosquitoes out there, there are what they 'lovingly' call "noseeums". And they may be as bad or worse, and there are three of them for every mosquito. I have sometimes gone out to Antelope Island and forgotten my deet or SSS and come back looking like I had the measles and itching worse.

Now, about your Phriday Phun shots. These are AWESOME. Very clever and cute. Super super PHUN!

The photos did bring a smile to my face, but also a little envy. What a car! Those rocks must have brought a little hurt to those bare feet. PS They are a great looking couple.

They should be in a book like Scott said.

Scott you're right! It was bugs. Mosquito bites are miserable, noseeums are excruciating, you put the two together and for me it's agony. I think I have scratched all the skin off my ankles!! I'm not out at the lake that often, but when we were out doing my other son's wedding photos a month ago, we weren't bothered at all. I gave a fleeting thought to bringing repellent, but forgot. Everything was fine until the sun set. Billions descended on us in a nanosecond and devoured us. We grabbed my equipment and raced to the car. Emily and I swatted them inside the car as poor Dalin had to spend time loading his car on a trailer. (It's road safe but he doesn't like to drive it that far.) His hands and face were covered and swollen. (But we did get some great photos!)

I love it Karen! I have just received my new Canon Rebel and am having a great time wildly snapping photos just to get the hang of the camera before I take it off automatic and start really photographing.

Good looking couple. One of the photos on my blog today is a photo of a photo of my son and his bride who were married a year ago this month.

Best,
Bonnie

I went to your blog to show yesterdays post to a friend who lives in a nursing home, he has 3 computers and is my professor in photoshop. i wanted to show him what you did to the fort photo. when it opened on his 28 inch screan there was the bride and groom and The Car. I said oh look at the bride, she fixing the car. he laughed and said what bride, LOOK AT THE CAR. he is a car buff. these are super duper in my book.

Just had to stop back and say that both of our sons were married in September. The one last year in Providence and the other in September 2008 in Ocean City. Is September the new June?

Best,
Bonnie

Oh that's very good, 10 out of 10. So the car didn't really brake down. Chrysler Corp. will be thrilled.

Busy catching up on blogs now I'm back from vacation. Have looked at your posts from the last few weeks - had a wonderful time and learned a few things too - a bonus! Great shots Karen - I won't even try to pick a fav.

As for noseeums - they know me well. The most vicious ones I've encountered were on Sanibel Island this past Feb. I looked like I had measles for 10 days and I've never itched so much in my life !! All that to get some sunset shots - BUT, it was worth it ;-) Now I keep a small bottle of 95% deet in the camera bag.
