History Revealed

There are many ruins of ancient people in these red cliffs.  Part of this 'home' is original, and part has been restored.  I can't remember for sure, but I believe these ruins belonged to the Anasazi who lived in this area.

I guess this photo is 'X' rated.  I hope no one is offended.   Ancient pictographs (painted), and petroglyphs  (carved) are common throughout southern Utah's red rock country.  These appear next to the dwelling in the above photo.

Wonderful images! The rock formation is incredible. Wonder if the first guy was running away from the other two or leading them!

Oh, X-Rated rock paintings! You're living on the wild side, aren't you? I love the beautiful lines in the rock, better artwork than the paintings!

I think i said yesterday's photo was stunning and i hate to repeat myself, but that is the word the first photo makes me think. and who is the oh so brave person standing on the edge. YIKES made my legs hurt, which is what happens when i get close to heights. impressive all the things they did way back then
