Michael's Beautiful Senorita

Classic beauty, classic pose, classic architecture

Love those amazing eyes

Leading lines - pillars, chandeliers, railing, chairs, windows, and placing her in the center of the background detail, all say..."Look at this beautiful Bride!"

It IS possible to be modest and a little bit flirty

A beautiful halo - Finding unique ways to use the available light

Creating drama with lighting - I turned the lights out in this small room and had my sister-in-law,  (and Diana's soon to be mother-in-law),  hold my flash to the side.  (Off camera flash triggered by Pocket Wizards.)

Fun and Fantasy - Cinderella style

Thinking 'out of the box' for a creative shot.  This is a beautiful stained glass skylight.  (I originally had Diana in the center, but cropping her to the side made for a more interesting composition.)

P.S.  For those of you wondering about this stunning building, it is the Joseph Smith Memorial Building located in Salt Lake City, Utah.  It was built in 1911.  (That would be before power tools!)

What a beautiful bride and building, Karen.

You have really shown your versatility with these shots. Most photographers are adept at most things; but there is one area they excel in. You excel at everything you photograph.

Outstanding work!

These are beautiful and certainly keepsakes for the bride and groom for the rest of their lives. You are definitely right about those beautiful almond eyes. I love the Spanish influence of the gorgeous reddish (couldn't decide if it is red or hot pink) sash. Of course their is much Spanish design in the dress and veil also. Incidentally, the shoes, bouquet and sash seem to change color in the "Fun and Fantasy" pic, but I'm sure you noticed that.

Scott, the sash, shoes and bouquet are hot pink. And yes, I did a little color fade in the 'Fun and Fantasy' pic.

Yes, I was wondering about the building, thanks for that. These are such unusual and unique shots!! I love the stained glass one and the one with just the shoes. No standard boring bridal pictures for her! You have such artistic ideas. And even with all the camera knowledge in the world, If you can't see the vision, the pictures won't be that good.

She's stunning, and you've definitely done her justice in these photos! I love the last one in particular, because of the way you cropped it. Great work!

Holy smokes here is so much I can learn from. Love and adore the last one Karen. Did you use a flash light?

What Karen Sees said...

Dagmar, I just used one Canon Speedlite, off camera.
