Wednesday Workday (Interesting People in Their Environment)

Saddle Maker
On our way to California about a month ago, we stopped at an old mining town called Calico.  It is an old west 'ghost' town, now frequented by tourists.  We had fun browsing through the stores on the main street.  The owner of this shop was proud of his hand made saddles and was anxious to show us his craft.  I asked him to pose, and he gladly agreed.

Great portrait! Did he get to see it? I bet he'll love it!

Very nice. Well lit under the hat and the depth of field is perfect because you can see what's in the background but it is soft so the eye keeps going back to the subject which is in perfect focus. Beautiful portrait!!!

Nice shot of someone so obviously right at home in their element.

Beautiful portrait of this man, Karen. You truly excel at portraits--although your landscapes are spectacular.
