Landscape photographers try to shoot at the magic hours of dawn and dusk, but sometimes that is just not practical. This shot was taken in the middle of a bright sunny day, but I thought the beautiful skyscape made up for the poor light. This is another shot from Sand Hollow.

This is a beautiful shot but I have changed my habit of shooting even "point and shoot" photos during high sun if possible -- thanks to you.
I really like this photo. It has so many rich colors, and contrasts. Your very fortunate to be able to visit so many great locations.
I like the lighting here... and the clouds. We had some glorious clouds tonight - in layers with different tones from white to gray. Glorious!!!
Love the Southern Utah vistas. The clouds really enhance this one and they'd also be great to add into another photo if you needed them.
Indeed that sky is beautiful, in addition to so many other parts of this shot. I like the rich colour of the sand, contrasted against the lake, and the sun reflecting off the snow on the mountains. Beautiful!
Your pictures are always so amazing sometimes I wonder if we live in the same world.
I understand completely dawn and dusk are not practical hours.
Beautiful sky with the snow capped mountains in the distance.
